This was suppose to be a no-brainer. After all, of all of the letters that make up the word bulldog, I think bulldogs most resemble a D. I had it all figured out, and was going with the whole Dogged Determination thing. But as I started to write, I realized, that is very pre -dict- a- bull, and I could Do Better. I thought about Dependable. Hey, aren't all dogs Dependable? I could score a few extra points with Dependable because I could do the pun with bull thing, but I thought of adult diapers, so that was out. Then I considered this: Do only the things you love to Do. For me, this is not realistic. If I did that, I would never do laundry. I would spend all my time buying new, clean clothes, and I have a living to make. That was out. So then, I thought of Durable, and doing the Dur- a - bull thing, but thought that maybe people wouldn't think that being durable is cool. That was out. So I ended the post with this...
So may choices, so little time, What would a Bulldog do?
I said that, "Bulldogs would be done with this right now becuase they would have made a Decision and taken action. My choice is, Bulldogs are DECISIVE!!!" Stay tuned because O and G are next. Whew! I was done.
Now being the Decisive one that I am, I asked my dear significant other what he thought. (Maybe I am a decisive co-dependent, but I think that is an oxy-moron) So, after very carefully reading my post, he asked if I wanted to hear his honest opinion, which means, 'Hang on, I am going to disagree with you.' He said, "You know what? You had me at Durable. All the business things say be decisive, blah, blah, blah, but nobody says be willing to be twisted and bent, and still hold your orgnal composition." I thought about it and said, "Your'e right, I'll just change Decisive to Durable." Easy, right?
As I went to change the one word and be finished for the day, my post dissappeared. All that work...
Gone. But you know what? I learned two things at a very deep level:
1. Bulldogs are Durable, and nothing really stops them from completing what they started.
2. Alway press Save before Preview.
Whew! Hang on, because we have O and G left!
