Bulldogs know how to focus. If they want something, they zero in on the target, concentrate on the task, and don't give up. Although this is not extraordinary behavior for dogs and people for that matter, the way bulldogs do this is what makes them endearing.
My bulldog loved toys, and being a good 'dog mom' Brutus had toys. Many toys! I learned though dog training lessons- translation: People Training- in order for Brutus to understand I was the boss (even though he probably was) I needed to be the one to hand him toys when it was time to play and put them away when we were done. The point you make by doing this is the toys belong to you, not the dog. When he wanted something, he had to come to me. If Brutus was going to get his favorite monkey out of the box, he had to use everything he had to convince me it was time to play without being overbearing and obnoxious. So how did he do that? By sitting in front of the toy box and staring at it, pure and simple. When he decided what he wanted, he would make that his mission, and not give up. He wasn't loud, he didn't bark, but when I would come into the room and see him sitting quietly in front of the box, with his lower lip sticking out, he became irresistable. Some days he would have to sit there for a few hours, and some days a few minutes, but he never gave up. Once you decide what it is that you want, set your sights, lock in your focus and don't give up. Put yourself in the best position to get people to take notice, and you may be surprised to find that you are attracting clients like moths to a flame.
